Asset Management Overview

The organisation, a fund management company licensed by the Securities Commission of Malaysia, began its operation in 1992 as Seacorp-Schroder Capital Management Berhad, a 51% - 49% joint-venture between MIDF Amanah Capital Berhad (MIDFAC), formerly known as Amanah Capital Partners Berhad, and Schroder Investment Management Limited.

In 1998 the Company was fully taken over by MIDFAC Group and subsequently the name was changed to Amanah SSCM Asset Management Berhad. MIDFAC Group was taken over by Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad in 2001. In line with the MIDF Group’s corporate re-branding exercise; since January 2007 we are known as MIDF Amanah Asset Management Berhad (MIDF Amanah).

Currently, MIDF Amanah is the main subsidiary within the MIDF Group’s asset management division, one of the group’s three core businesses. The other core businesses are investment banking and development finance.

MIDF Amanah is an asset management company in Malaysia with total funds under management of RM632 million as at 31st December, 2013.
