Syed Ahmad Muzri is the Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, a role which he was appointed on 1 January 2021. He has been with the Sime Darby Group for over a decade and brings extensive experience in the automotive sector to his role, which covers leading and growing the Jaguar Land Rover business in Malaysia – encompassing both sales and after-sales service. Under his leadership, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has achieved the distinction of winning Retailer of the Year (Asia Pacific) at the Jaguar Land Rover Retailer Awards for 2018/2019, followed by three consecutive years for 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023, marking four successes in a row.

Prior to this, he held the position of Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto ConneXion – Ford in 2015, and concurrently in 2016, he was appointed as Operations Director of Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia. During his tenure, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion received the prestigious Chairman’s Award 2019 from the Ford International Markets Group. He was also conferred The Brand Laureate Brand Leadership Award in 2022.

Since joining Sime Darby in 2003, he has held a variety of positions within the automotive sector, including responsibility for the operations of BMW, Ford, BYD, and McLaren. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.
