MIDF Investment receives Wakalah Deal of the Year 2022 Award
MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad (MIDF Investment) received the "Wakalah Deal of the Year 2022" award at the IFN Awards 2022 held on 17 May 2023. The event honours local and global banks that played a critical and impactful role in unraveling the potential of Islamic finance.
MIDF Investment's award was for the Sukuk Wakalah Facility established by Widad Concession Sdn Bhd, which it jointly arranged with Maybank Investment Bank Berhad. The facility is backed by a stable and predictable concession cashflow that is ring-fenced through a tight structure and restrictive covenants.
The award was accepted by Yang Berbahagia Puan Nur Julie Gwee Ariff, Senior Director/Head of Debt Markets on behalf of MIDF Investment.
