MIDF Research and MIDF Investment organise visit for clients to Sabah
MIDF Research and Equity Market Dealing (EMD) of MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad (MIDF Investment) organised a corporate visit to Sabah from 11 until 14 October 2022 to provide their platinum clients with the opportunity to meet with the State’s economic authorities and representatives from prominent businesses including Genting Plantations in Sandakan as well as Suria Capital Holdings and Ranhill Utilities in Kota Kinabalu who presented them with corporate updates and business activities of their respective companies.

Some of the company representatives they met included Ms. Tan May Yee, Senior Manager of Investor Relations at Genting Plantations; Datuk Ng Kiat Min, Group Managing Director of Suria Capital Holdings Berhad; Ir. Dr. Zahrul Faizi Hussein, Chief Executive Officer of Ranhill Power Companies and Mr. Kevin George Ukang, Chief Investment Officer of Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority (SEDIA). While in Kota Kinabalu, the team also met with representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Sabah.
Representatives from Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP), Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH), Permodalan BSN, Pelaburan MARA, Koperasi Felda and MIDF Amanah Asset Management (MAAM), clients that joined the visit, were presented a macro picture of the State’s economic performance and future plans by SEDIA and Unit Perancangan Ekonomi Negeri (UPEN) Sabah.
The Research team was represented by En. Zafri Zulkeffeli, En. Abdul Mui’zz Morhalim, En. Ammar Amsyar, Cik Amalia Zarir and En. Hafriz Hezry. Meanwhile, the EMD team was represented by Pn. Shamim Hashim, Pn. Khairun 'Adila Khazali, En. Hanafi Husin and En. Izzat Rahim.
