Ahmad Farouk Mohamed joined MIDF in 2019 to head up the Group Managing Director's Office. The broad scope includes among others, group-wide strategy and kickstarting the company's digitalising programme. This builds on more than 20 years' experience in consulting and investments, starting from Bank Bumiputra in London and continuing at Mercer Zainal Consulting, Bina Fikir, Khazanah Nasional and Avicennia Capital. He has also served on the boards of public and private companies, representing the shareholders. 

Farouk graduated in mathematics from Trinity College, University of Cambridge and actuarial science from City University, London. One of his most prized certifications is a certificate to coach issued by World Rugby.
