Amran Awaluddin is currently the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Ranhill Utilities Berhad. He started his career with Kassim Chan Management Consultants Sdn. Bhd. in 1992 as a consultant in its Strategy and Operations Division. Later in 1996, he joined the Privatisation and Project Advisory Department of RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad. 
Amran joined the Ranhill Berhad group of companies in June 1999 and in October 2004 was appointed as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Ranhill Berhad. On 27 May 2019 Amran was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Ranhill Utilities Berhad. 
Amran graduated with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Industrial and Business Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1992 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants
