MIDF Group upholds a zero-tolerance approach towards all forms of bribery and corrupt activities such as extortion, collusion, breach of trust, abuse of power, trading under influence, embezzlement, fraud or money laundering and unlawful activity.
Our Commitment
In MIDF Berhad, our objective is to uphold the highest standards of integrity, inculcate anti-bribery culture, provide reports and make decisions in a transparent manner. As a result, we are committed to implement and practice the Anti-Bribery Management System (MS ISO 37001: 2016) in carrying out our activities and interactions with stakeholders to ensure that any opportunity for bribery, embezzlement, and any abuse of power, can be handled efficiently and effectively.
The Anti-Bribery Policy (Policy) is consistent with the provisions under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and other laws which are relevant to the domestic and international legal requirements. This Policy is also in accordance with the MIDF Berhad’s vision, mission, strategic plan and the nation’s aspirations.
We are subject to the MIDF Group Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy in all organizational affairs, which are used as our framework in order to determine, revise and achieve the anti-bribery objectives.
We are also committed to understand, practice and comply with the requirements under the Anti-Bribery Management System.
Through the Whistleblowing Policy, MIDF Berhad will always provide an avenue for employees and stakeholders to report any improper conduct within the organization.
We constantly undertake continuous improvements through the Anti-Bribery Management System from time to time.
The Integrity and Governance Unit in MIDF Berhad is an entrusted and independent body established to monitor the Anti-Bribery Management System as a whole and report to the Governing Body and MIDF Group Board of Directors.
We may be subject to disciplinary actions as well as appropriate legal action should we fail to comply with this Policy.
The development of the MIDF Group’s Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy (ABC Policy) is one of the key initiatives taken to ensure that MIDF Group fully complies with Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009. The ABC Policy provides principles, guidelines and requirements on how to deal with bribery and corrupt practices that may arise during daily business and operational activities within the MIDF Group.
